Aviation Mechanic Training
About National Aviation Academy:
National Aviation Academy (NAA) has been training aviation maintenance professionals since 1932 and offers programs in aviation maintenance technology and advanced aircraft systems. We are dedicated to our mission of educating and preparing students for employment in the aviation industry. NAA has two campuses, one in Concord, Mass. and the other in Clearwater, Fla. Both locations are comprised of two facilities: a main campus that houses classrooms, lab spaces and offices, and a hangar that provides space for the shop/lab portion of the curriculum.
Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT)
The AMT course provides training for students who desire the knowledge and skills necessary to become an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic. Students who successfully complete the 14-month program are eligible to test for their FAA mandated exams.
Advanced Aircraft Systems (AAS)
The AAS course is designed for individuals who have prior aviation maintenance experience or for those who already hold their A&P certificates. Over the course of seven months, students receive training on the advanced systems found on today's modern transport category aircraft.
Aviation Maintenance Professional (AMP)
The AMP program is 21 months long and combines both AMT and AAS courses into one. Students gain a well-rounded education through traditional A&P training as well as instruction on the advanced systems of today's modern aircraft.
According to Boeing's 2015 Pilot and Technician Outlook, over 609,000 aviation maintenance technicians will be needed to maintain the world's fleet over the next 20 years.
Our Career Services department is dedicated to assisting with career placement for all students and alumni anytime after graduation for as long as you are an A&P. We can also help you prepare for the interview process and assist with career changes.
