San Joaquin Valley College’s Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT) program is designed to provide fundamental, hands-on training on industrial systems and equipment. Students will study and master the basic principles, applications, concepts and functions of hydraulic systems, bearing and seal types, and power transmission components.
Employers are looking for individuals who can operate and maintain the equipment required for the operation of modern industrial facilities. Troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate solutions are valuable assets to these organizations.
With SJVC’s hands-on approach to training, graduates are qualified to go right to work in a variety of commercial and manufacturing settings as a Maintenance Technician, Production Supervisor, Hydraulic Technician, Machine Operator and Plant Electrician.
On the job, you can expect to:
Students can earn a Certificate of Completion in approximately 7 months, or an Associate of Science Degree in approximately 14 months.
San Joaquin Valley College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program prepares students with the skills and technical knowledge they need to perform maintenance on aircraft airframe (body) and powerplant (engine). In addition to classroom instruction, hands-on training in the hangar includes maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of airframe and powerplant systems and components.
The Aviation Maintenance Technology program is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation."
The Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program focuses on preparing students to test for an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Students can earn a Certificate of Completion in as few as 17 months, or an Associate of Science degree in as few as 22 months. Graduates are prepared to test for an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
