Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)

If you want to jump-start a career in aircraft repair, the Spartan College Airframe & Powerplant program may be a great option. This A&P associate degree program is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in accordance with 14CFR Part 147, and can help prepare you to take the FAA A&P certification exam in an average of 18 months. Classes often take place in simulated work environments where you'll benefit from a hands-on approach and work with skilled faculty members who will help you learn to:

  • Maintain, repair and conduct tests to ensure airplanes are safe for flying
  • Inspect aviation components to determine potential problems
  • Analyze descriptions of aircraft issues, locate causes and make required repairs

Learn on aircraft components and systems including the airframe, piston engines, turbine engines, hydraulic systems, propellers, instrumentation, warning systems, environmental systems, and more
